Summary
This report presents national chemical injury data for the 2003
calender year from the following sources: Coronial Services Office
(deaths), NZHIS (inpatient hospitalisations), and the National Poisons
Centre. In addition, hospital (emergency department and inpatient)
poisoning notifications received by Auckland, Hawkes Bay and West Coast
Public Health Units for 2003 are summarised. Furthermore, the report
