Summary
This report presents national chemical injury data for the 2005
calender year from the Coronial Services Office (deaths) and NZHIS
(inpatient hospitalisations). In addition, local hospital poisoning
notifications (emergency department patients and inpatients) for 2005,
representing the following DHBs are summarised; Auckland, Hutt, Capital
and Coast, Wairarapa, West Coast, and Southland. Furthermore, the
report presents updated Coronial Service Office data on fatal chemical
