Molecular Typing of Tuberculosis

Universal molecular typing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates was introduced in July 2002, conducted by LabPlus in Auckland under contract to the Institute of Environmental Science and Research Limited (ESR), with funding by the Ministry of Health.This report summarises the descriptive epidemiology of M. tuberculosis clusters identified through molecular typing from 2003 to 2007.
